Children of John Bulfinch and Anna Breed: 2) Jeremiah, b. 1759, d. 19 Nov 1846, m. (1) 22 Jul 1787 Mrs. Rebecca (Johnson) Cheever, m. (2) Mrs. Hannah (Flint) Newhall, widow of Isaiah Nehwall. [Note: this identification of his second wife is incorrect. She married with the name Hannah Newhall, and named her first son William N. Bullfinch, suggesting her father might be William Newhall. On further search, Hannah wife of Jeremiah Bullfinch is named as the daughter in a quitclaim by the Martha the widow of William Newhall of her dower (Essex Probate 19405).]
- ↑ 5.0 5.1 Clearly there are two different readings of the gravestone since both the cited records appear to rely on the gravestone. No record has been found which appears to be based on any other basis. This suggests the discrepancy in death dates is based on difference of opinion about what a hard-to-read or nonexistent gravestone says. Unfortunately, Find A Grave has two memorial pages (here and here), one for each date, and neither having an image of any gravestone.
