  4. There is a birth in Walpole VRs of a son Jeremiah b. 1767 to Jeremiah Blake and Patience Clark. The use of the mother's maiden name indicates the birth is out of wedlock. It would seem likely that this Jeremiah was the father based on his age and marital status but no evidence is known, and perhaps it is somebody different. This Jeremiah had a son Jeremiah, but not until 1790, after having many other children, the delay perhaps because another son with the same name was living? Nothing is known about what happened to the boy born in 1767.
