[edit] ObituaryJennie, 96, Spencerville, died at 3:15 a.m., at Roselawn Manor. Born in Jennings Twp, she was the daughter of Frederick and Emma Adeline (McKinley) Lauth. On Jul 30, 1960, she married Vincent Edward Axe, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Burnett, Spencerville; a sister-in-law, Winnie Axe, Kansas City, KS; and multiple nieces and nephews. Deceased are nine brothers: Walter, Roy, Raymond, Floyd, Maurice, Carl, Richard, Howard and infant James, and seven sisters: Clara Meihls, Irene Gase, Inez Kill, Ruth Detrick, infant Edna, Mabel Reynolds and Myrtle Jones. A member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and its Alter Rosary Society, she had retired after 36 years at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. She was a Life Member of both the Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191 and the Bowersock Bros. VFW Post 6772 Auxiliaries and the Northwestern Ohio Field and Stream Assn., all Spencerville, and the Goodyear Retirees. She loved to go to the Allen and Van Wert County Fairs and was able to attend the 2016 Allen County Fair with her Roselawn friends. She also enjoyed Bingo and Gambling Casino trips. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Spencerville. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery. References
