↑ Jemima's father's probate was settled too early to offer clues as to her marriage (he died 1754), but age-wise she is a good match to the wife of Benjamin Conant. The death record of her first husband Silas Hill says his widow came "from Oakham to the house of Dr. James Haws". James Haws m. 1762 Hannah Thompson, d/o Eleazer and Hannah Thompson, i.e., Jemima's sister.
