  4. Source:Houghton, John Wesley. Houghton Genealogy, p. 304 says "Jemima, b. 8, 3, 1718" which is clearly impossible given a married in 1724/5. The line above shows Stephen "baptized 8, 3, 1718", so this probably was meant to refer to the baptism cited above as well. In the cited article, Jemima is listed by this source (with no elaboration) as the fifth child following the birth of Josiah in 1698, so every two years gives Ruth 1700, Stephen 1702, James 1704, Dorcas 1706, and Jemima 1708. She does appear to be listed as the youngest daughter in several list of heirs found in her father's probate. However, no guardian is appointed for Jemima, and on 29 Oct 1723 she signs some articles of agreement on her own. So probably she was born by 1705 at least.
