    WEDNESDAY MARCH 27, 2013
    Jean Isobel Boland (nee Steele)
    December 10, 1919-March 21, 2013
    Born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan
Jean passed away suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener after feeling shortness of breath for a couple of days. She was predeceased by her loving husband Archibald Wilmer (Beaver) Boland 1911-1997 and baby daughter Patricia 1957. Jean will be sorely missed by her dear friend and companion for the past several years Carl Dare of Waterloo, Ontario. Jean was a wonderful mother to daughter Linda (Terry Murphy) of Bracebridge, Ontario and son Larry Boland (Yvonne) of Richmond Hill, Ontario. She was an always caring grandmother to Shawn Murphy (Emily) of Santa Clara California, Shannon (Rob Lailey) of Barrie, Ontario, Matthew Boland of Toronto, and Kelsey Boland of Richmond Hill, and like a grandmother to Abigail and Gillian Carter in their early years. Jean was great-grandmother to Megan and Evan Lailey. Jean was a wonderful combination of grace, balance, generosity and humour. She also possessed a wide range of skills. She could hunt, fish and play cards better than most; she could talk hockey and football, (never gave up on the Leafs); she made the best chocolate chip cookies in the world; and she did all of these while keeping her binoculars trained on Lake Nipissing in case some family member needed assistance. For more than fifty-five years Jean and Beaver shared a full rich life with many friends in Aurora, Ontario and cherished their summers at their island on Lake Nipissing. An added bonus for Jean was sharing adventures and travel with Carl for the past several years. In accordance with Jean's wishes she has been cremated and will be interred in the family plot in Aurora. A small family service celebrating Jean's life will take place at a later date. Linda and Larry would like to acknowledge and thank family and friends for their warm expressions of sympathy received over the past few days. Condolences www.rskane.ca
