She was born in Hambdon July 31, 1857, and was the daughter of Wm. Young and Mary Waithman Young. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Corll leaves four half-brothers, eight nephews and four nieces, besides many friends, all of whom will miss her and cherish her memory. Another daughter, Nellie Gertrude, died in infancy. An older brother, Frank Young is seriously ill at his home in Kansas City. Mrs. Corll united with the Methodist Church in her youth. The Christian faith of her earlier years was abiding, and strengthened in her later life. During her illness it was the source of great comfort, and the ground of eternal hope. She was tenderly cared for by the daughter, who left nothing undone that fideltiy and devotion would bring. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home north of Hamblen Center, Rev. E.H. Balmer officiating, and paying full tribute to Mrs. Corll's memory. The singers were Mesdames Ware, Weston and Shattuck, George and Erwin Shattuck. They rendered three beautiful selections "Jesus Lover of My Soul." "Somewhere", and "Haven of Rest".
