    Jane was the daughter of Captain John H. Wooddell and Elizabeth Irvine of Augusta County. Irvine was alternately spelled Ervin, and Wooddell spelled several ways.

    On December 3, 1817 Jane married George Hendrick Kiracofe in Augusta County. He is believed to have been the son of John Frederick Kirshof (various) and his first wife, Catherine Wacker. (George had a full brother John, who married Jane's sister Susan Woodell. There were more 1/2 siblings from their father's second wife Barbara Ann Koontz.)
