(She is probably 'my daughter-in-law Jane Bennett in New England' named in the 26 October 1657 will of Philip Wotton of East Budleigh, Devonshire (Waters 1141-42]. She would, then, be the daughter of Philip's wife Jane by her unknown first husband. If this identification is correct, then there may be some connection with Roger Conant, who was from this same parish.)"
