    A. Jane Augusta Washington Thornton, born Oct. 9, 1825; died March 7, 1887; married Feb. 3, 1848, at Louisville, Ky., James Burnie Beck, born Feb. 13, 1822, at Dumfrieshire, Scotland, lawyer, Member of Congress and U. S. Senator; died at Washington, May 3, 1890.
    Issue: aa. Margaret Buckner Beck, born June 29, 1849; died 1870; married James W. Corcoran, nephew of William W. Corcoran, the philanthropist.
    bb. Sophia Burnie Beck, born June 28, 1851; died.
    cc. Bettie Buckner Beck of Washington, D. C, born Nov. 27, 1853, Lexington, Ky ; married April 17, 1877, Colonel Green Clay Goodloe, U. S. M. C, bora Jan. 31, 1845. No issue.
