- ↑ This is a confusing bit - Our Jane was actually married 8 days before this, so this may be another Jane Smith from Scotland. Jane is at the top of page 2 and at the bottom of page 1 is a John Smith age 28 and engineer. It could just be the order that the list was put in, it seems to roughly alphabetical. We do not know of a brother named John, so this could also be John's wife Jane.
