  2.   Source:Jacobus, Donald Lines. Granberry Family and Allied Families, p. 304, suggests that will of John Newton of Colyton ("scarcely five miles from Axminster"), Devonshire, dated 3 Apr 1646, naming [among others] "son Anthony and daughter Joane, both in New England". Since both Anthony Newton and Thomas Loring initially came to Dorchester, it is "extremely likely" this Jane Newton was Thomas Loring's wife.
