Note: this and other researchers have claimed that the place of birth of Jane Moon was Hardy, Bedford, Virginia, but Jane's mother is said to have died in 1714 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania and Bedford County, Virginia did not exist until 1753, so it is more likely that Jane was born in Pennsylvania, where her family appears to have lived during that time-frame.
