Facts and Events
Name Jane Libby
Gender Female
Marriage 16 Dec 1725 Portsmouth, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United Statesto Colonel Nathaniel Meserve
Death[1] 1747

It is suggested that Jane Libby is the sister of a George Libby, presumably based on a reference to his children's "Uncle George Libbey" in his will. No likely candidate for either George or Jane is obvious in Source:The Libby family in America, 1602-1881. Based on a marriage in 1725, so a birth around 1700 or therebabouts, Jane and George would probably be children of a third generation Libby. One likely candidate is Samuel Libby (#1-3) who lived in Portsmouth. The Libby gen. says this about Samuel: "No list of his children appears: there can be little doubt, however, that Daniel [the only child shown] was his son, and quite likely he may have had daughters also.
