Jane's parents were Thomas Kincaid d 1795 Greenbrier Co. and his wife Mary.
John Cantley witnessed Thomas's will along with James Gray.
    In the will are:
Andrew, James, Mary and Susannah. Mary m John Tennis 18 July 1799, Susannah
m Archibald Handley 15 Oct 1802. John Cantley m Jane 5 June 1787. James Gray
m Katherine (Kitty) 29 Dec 1793. Thomas Kincaid willed land on Turkey Creek
in present Monroe Co. to be divided among his sons and unmarried daughters.
Somehow the married daughters also received an interest in part of the land
as James Cantly sold a 1/16th interest in part of the land mentioned in the
    will.

In 1826 Mary, widow of Thomas above received a grant on Turkey Creek, along
with legetees of Thomas: James Grey, John Tennis, Arch Handley and Andrew
Kincaid. The Cantley's had already left Monroe Co. (Monroe from Greenbrier
1799) by then. James also was either deceased or out of state. I suggest
that he was deceased and it is his share that the married daughters were
    given an interest in.

There is a strong possibility that Thomas was the eldest son of James d 1761
Albemarle Co. and his wife Jean.
