- "Yr. 1807, John Thompson, Judith his wife, James Wills, Mildred his wife, all of Amherst Co., sell to Hawes Coleman for 1000 pounds, two tracts of land on bracnches of Naked Creek, being lands John Thompson & James Wills purchased of Martin Bibb & Tandy Johnson. One tract of 200 acres, corner of James Bibb & John Loving, touches lines of James Wills, Sr. Wm Bibb, dec'd. etc."
- Another tract containing 200 acres being land, "James Wills bought from Tandy Johnson and joins land of Wm. Bibb, dec'd., John Loving, Wm. Loving, Wm. Hollingsworth, Parmanes Bryant and estate of Conyers White, dec'd"
