    James Tullis, an old and respected citizen living near Stanley, died at his home on Monday and was interred in the Tomahawk cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Tullis was well known in our community, having lived near here for many years, He Leaves a large family and many friends to mourn their loss.

    -- Mr. James Tullis residing near Stanley died Monday October 25th, at the age of 53 years. His death was very sudden having been sick but a few days.

    Died at his home near Stanley on Monday Oct. 25th, 1897, Mr. James H. Tullis, aged about 63 years. Deceased was the father of Deputy Treasurer Joseph Tullis, and was one of Johnson County's oldest and most highly esteemed citizens. Interment was made in the Divilbiss cemetery on Tuesday.
