Judge James Harvey Tinsley was appointed as the US District Attorney of the Eastern District of Kentucky by President McKinley in 1901. He held the office for 10 years, but took a leave of absence when his health began to fail. He died at his home in Covington at 621 Greenup Street. Judge Tinsley was a member of the Greenup Street M E Church, a Royal Arch Mason and a member of the Kentucky Board of Education. He served in the Civil War. References
