James Morris..., son of Anthony Morris and his first wife Mary Jones, was born in Philadelphia 5th mo. 8th, 1688, died Oct. 31, 1747, at Duck Creek, Del. ; m. 1st mo. 8th, 1709, at the Public Meeting House in Chester, Margaret Cook, dau. of John Cook, of the Township of Oxford, Yeoman. She died 9th Nov., 1766, nearly 77 years of age. After their marriage, James and Margaret Morris settled in Kent County, Delaware, and produced their certificate of removal from Philadelphia, at the George's Creek Monthly Meeting, 8th mo. 20th, 1712. ...
