-- ------ James R "Jim" Mooney 60, of Fremont died Saturday at home. He was born in Fremont to Gaylord R and Edna Mae (Zeser) Mooney. A 1960 Fremont Ross graduate, he wrestled in his senior year, the only ye ar he participated in the sport, and captured the 120-pound state champion ship. He is the only wrestler in Ross history to win the state title. He w as inducted into the Fremont Ross Hall of Fame in 1991. Mr. Mooney was an airman in the U.S Air Force and served as a military pol ice officer from 1961 to 1965 while he was stationed in Wyoming and Japan. He was a self-employed salesman throughout OH and semi-retired to FL. Mr. Mooney enjoyed antiquing, fishing, summers at home with his family a nd winters in FL. He married Linda K Nycum on Aug. 20, 1988, in Woodville and she surviv es in Fremont. Also surviving are sons Michael J (Lisa) Mooney of Sarasot a, Fla, Mark A (Heidi) Mooney of Maumee and John (Deb) Campbell of Gibsonb urg; daughters Lori (Shawn) Overmyer and Machelle Campbell, both of Fremon t; sisters Janice (Dick) Cowles of Wichita Falls, TX, Betty (Gary) Lawren ce of Massillon and Rosalyn (Larry) Bowers of Fremont; and 10 grandchildre n.
