[edit] Research notes10 Aprill 1703 James Mullikin of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland, Planter and Jane his wife of the one part and Thomas Lamar of same, Planter of the other part… for and in consideration of the sum of ninety pounds sterling money of England in hand paid have give Granted Bargained & sold to the said Thomas for Ever all that parcel of Land called thrice bought being formarly Called Mullikins Choice being part of 800 acres formerly surveyed for. Coll. 18 Apr 1664 - On April 18, 1664, James Mullikin patented a 300 acre tract in Dorchester County and called it "Mullikin's Orchard." Aug 1665 - In August, 1665 he purchased another 200 acres and named it "Mullikin's Green." James lived in Calvert County on the Patuxent River and was a planter. 1667 - Before 1667 he married Mary Darnall, the widow of John Darnall. She brought one son to the marriage. 3 March 1701 Henry Darnall of Prince Georges County in Province of Maryland, Gent., Agent and Receiver Generall for Right Honorable Charles Lord Barron of Balltimore to Charles Walker of Same, Planter. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of four Pounds Good and Lawfull money of England to him in hand Paid or Secured to be Paid by the said Charles Have Devised granted Lett to ffarm all that tract or Parcell of Land Scituate Lying and being in the Western Branch in ye County of Prince Georges Beginning at ye North West corner Tree of James Mullicans Land… Laid out for two hundred acres during the Natural Life of Rebecca Walker his wife and for and During that Naural life of Elizabeth Walker his Daughter, Yeilding an Paying therefore yearly every year During the Lives aforesaid the rent of twenty Shillings of good and Lawfull money of England (signed Henry Darnall) Wits: Clement Hill Junr.
