    "40. James5 Hopkins (Caleb,4 Caleb,3 Giles,2 Stephen1), born in Truro 16 Aug. 1736, baptized 19 Sept. 1736. He married Mehitable Freeman [error for Merriman; his mother was a Freeman]. Mehitable (Freeman [Merriman]) Hopkins, after wards married _____ Johnston [Captain Oliver Johnson] of Middletown, Conn. He removed to Middletown, Conn. He was taken prisoner by the British and carried to England in a prison ship. The privations he endured resulted in his death soon after his release."
