    The Gilmer Family Cemetery was originally located on the James Dohoney farm at junction of Ky 61 and 80. It was relocated to Union Cemeteryin 2006. It contained the grave of Capt James Gilmer, an early adair county settler, a soldier of the Revolutionary War. Present at the battle of Guilford Courthouse and the cowpens, early magistrate and prominent citizen of Adair Co. Ky.
