    JAMES B. GILBERT
    James B. Gilbert, 80, born in Bridgewater, and a resident of Hingham for 72 years, died on January 15th at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton.
    Mr. Gilbert was a contractor for GIlbert Hot Top, Hingham for 60 years. He belonged to the St. Anne's choir for 50 years, and is the past President of the St. Anne's Holy Name Society. He also was manager of Babe Ruth Baseball in Hingham for 34 years and he was a well known South Shore Athlete when at Hingham High School.
    He is survived by his wife, Sybil R. GIlbert; three sons, Michael B. of NC, Daniel J. and David L. both of Hull; two sisters, Ellen Schafer and Marie Anderson, both of CA; and a brother John of Rockland. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
    Service was held on Saturday, January 18, at St. Ann's Church, Hull. Visiting was on Friday, at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home. Burial was in Saint Paul's Cemetery.
