James B. Foster, born in Monroe co va, married widow Esther Elizabeth (Boyd) Drummond on Jan 17 1826.in Monroe county Va, wit: John Drummond (brother of decd husband George Drummond, and James Pleasants. Her first husband, George Drummond drowned in river in abt 1824or 1825 at Monroe co va near potts Creek area. Her children with Geo. Drummond were after their marrige in 1812 at Monroe co va, are James Patrick Drummond, Ann Priscella Drummond, Joshua Drummond, Jeannette Drummond, and George Drummond II. Esthers parents were Rev. soldier Patk Boyd and Anna McDowell. Esther and James B. foster came to Missorui escorted by her son James Patrick Drummond and his wife Sidney Jane (Nickell) in late 1840s. James B. foster and Esther Elizabeth Boyd Drummond Foster were then parents of: Robert b. Foster bn 6-21-1827 Monroe co. W. va, mary B foster bn 9-27-1831 at Monroe co w va, Porterfield J Foster bn 8-26-1834 at Monroe co w va, and elizabeth Caroline foster bn 5-2-1840 Monroe co w va. Esthers grandmother was a Porterfield .
