Some Ancestry submissions claim that this James Ellis married Ruth Nevitt in Frederick County, Virginia in 1769, but that appears to be a different (and slightly older) James Ellis. More research may be necessary. Also it should be noted that this James Ellis would have been only 14 years of age in 1769.
