The death year is incorrect according to his death certificate, which was signed by an M.D. The gravestone was presumably erected after the death of his wife in 1951 and someone mis-remembered the year of his death.

The names of his parents appear to be incorrect. His father Samuel had an elder brother John, but there is no evidence of his marriage to a Louise Geans/Jeans. Presumably the informant (probably his son Albert) didn't know their names - other than the Jeans connection.
