In the 1776 Harford County census their is a James Death living in Susquehannah Hundred. His age of 56 indicates a birth year of c 1720. Others listed with him are Sophia age 60, William age 21, Charity age 18 and George Simes Death age 14. Surnames for other than James and George Simes aren't given but may be Death.

Probably the James Death Sr who signed the 1768 Joppa petition opposing moving the county capital to Baltimore.

In the 1750 Baltimore County Debt book James was responsible for 10 acres Daughters Choice, 54 acres Creek Plantation and part of Neighborhood.
