Some researchers have placed James as the son of William Curry and Sarah Bingham, but the James Curry that was born 2/26/1784 is specifically mentioned with this exact birthdate in the Revolutionary War Service Pension Application of James Curry (1746-1828) of Botetourt County, Virginia and Mercer County, Kentucky, where this James Curry also died.
