Obituary from the Brantford Weekly Expositor of Friday August 15, 1884:
Mr James Crozier, who has for many years had a meat stall in this town, although he lived in Branchton, died at his residence at that place on Sunday after a prolonged illness. The deceased was born in Scotland in 1823 but has for a long time been a resident of Canada. He was married to a sister of the Messrs. Alex. and Walter Burnett and leaves a number of children behind him. Mr. C. has always been noted for uprightness in his dealings. He always gave his customers the best of meat and correct bill. He was of an unassuming character and generally respected. His remains were taken to the Galt cemetery on Tuesday.
