I saw an unsourced post that said he was in the War of 1812. I do not see his name in "Ohio War of 1812 Soldiers' Family Groups" by the Ohio Society United States Daughters of 1812. I do not see his name in a list of 1812 pensions for Ohioans, either. He is not on this list: http://www.ohiogenealogyexpress.com/military/prebleco_chaptXIII_war_1812.htm
