Facts and Events
James Collins' origins have yet to be established. He was married at South Hill in Cornwall on 30th November 1760 to Joanna Grubb, who was 20 and from the neighbouring parish of St Ive. They had a daughter, Elizabeth, baptised at South Hill in 1762. They then moved to the nearby town of Callington where they had a son, James, in 1764, but sadly he died as a baby. In 1766 they had a daughter, Grace, baptised at Callington. The family has yet to be traced after 1766. |
