    JANESVILLE - James G. Churchill, age 71, of 1505 Vista Ave., Janesville, died at his home Tues, morning, June 22. 1999. James was born in Janesville on Oct. 29, 1927, the son of James E. and Ruth (Gray) Churchill. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1945 and served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 1946 to Aug. 1947. James married Norlene Manske on Aug. 12, 1967 in Milwaukee. He was formerly employed by Norwood Mills and then for 7 years by Hufcor until retiring in 1996. A life-long resident of Janesville, Jim was a member of First Baptist Church where he held various positions on the Diaconate Board and was active in the Men's Fellowship. He especially en�joyed the Men's retreats at Green Lake and working at Camp Tamarack, Waupaca. He was a volunteer for the Wilson School breakfast club and Meals on Wheels.
    Jim is survived by his wife, Norlene; 3 children: Dennis (Donna) Churchill of South Windsor, CT, Diane (Don) Lonze of Orlando, FL. Aimee Churchill, a student at UW-Platteville; 3 grandchildren: Michael. Ionia, and Tara Lonze; a great-grandchild, Zachary; 2 brothers. Richard (Marlene) Churchill and Bruce (Carol) Churchill, both of Janesville; a brother-in-law, Ned (JoAnn) Manske of Milwaukee; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 3414 Woodhall Dr., Janesville. at 7:00 p.m. Tues., June 29, 1999, with Rev. James Harkness and Rev. Deborah Harkness officiating. Private interment will be In Oak Hill Cemetery.
