- Cason, James - entered service 1777 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia; born 7/23/1758 in Orange County, Virginia; received Pension 1832 in Jackson County, Tennesseep; married 2/17/1785 to Rebecca Smith, & she died 9/8/1836 in Jackson County, Tennessee; children's births: Edward M. 1/3/1805, Susan 1/1/1790, Eliza S. Cox 10/17/1807; soldier died 7/12/1842, leaving children Edward M, susannah & Eliza S. Cox; application for pension 1856 by Robert A. Cox age 23, administrator of soldier's estate, for any Pension arrears. R495.
