I recently came across this in some unsigned research notes in the Historical Society of PA. Library. I hope it is helpful to someone. Ref: Gen Ro. 14, p.57 BOSTICK or Bostwick NOTES. Ennity Bostick, the first wife of Charles M. Wharton, was the great Great granddaughter of a certain James Bostick, and his wife Mary, who deceased in Kent County in 1766. The succeeding wills, administrations & deeds show the connecting links between them. 1. James Bostick, estate administered 1768, by his wife Mary. Wills, Kent Co., Delaware, Liber L, folio 21. June 17, 1777 John Johnson & Mary his wife, the said Mary being the widow & administratrix of James Bostick, the elder, late of Kent Co., deceased of the on part and James Bostick, William Swift & Marry his wife, Robert Blackshare & Jane his wife, Solomon Griffin & Rachel his wife, Joshua Morris & Elizabeth his wife, and Sarah Bostick, Spinster of the one part, being heirs at law of dames Bostick the elder and James Coombs of the other part. Land Records, Kent Co., Delaware, Liber W, No.1, folio 95. 2. James Bostick, estate administered 17,'55 (prob. s/b 1795), by Sarah (his wife) and Major Bostick. (his son) Will of Sarah, widow of James Bostick; children:-Major, who is executor; Liday, James, Sarah, Priscilla, John, Jean, Elizabeth & Noah. Signed Feb.29, 1796, Proved-December 3, 1797. (She was Sarah Cardeen.) Wills, Kent Co., Del., and L. N, f. 15.9. 3. Major Bostick, (son of James & Sarah) estate administered 1814, by his wife Sinai. 4. William Bostick, (son of Major & Sinia) Will, signed April 3, 1829, & proved April 16, 1829. makes bequests to his wife. (who is not named) and to his two children John R. Bostick & Ennity Bostick, both minors. John Reed is appointed executor & guardian of his children. Wills, Kent Co., Del., Liber 2, folio 132. October 5, 1714-William Bostick and Esther (Reed) his wife, to Sinia Bostick. Whereas William Bostick is seized of certain land formerly the property of Major Bostick, being the son of Major Bostick ect. therefore this indenture, ect. Land Records, Kent Co., Delaware, Liber J. No.3, folio 150. 1851-November 12-John R. Bostick & Charles M. Wharton & Ennity B. his wife of the one part. and John J. Scharbinger of the 2nd part. witnesseth that John Reed Sr. by his will dated Dec.1, 1820, Liber P, folio 236, devised to his daughter Esther, wife of William Bostick, & that the said William Bostick by his will -dated April 8, 1829, recorded in Liber 2, folio 122 did give to his only two children John R. Bostick & Ennity the wife of Charles M. Wharton all his estate, therefore this indenture. Bostick entries in the Reed Bible No. 1 now in the poss. of Miss Ada Warren, William Bostick‘s birth day was Jen 15, 1785. He & Esther his wife were m. Tuesday Feb 2, 1808. Charles M. Wharton & Ennity Bostwick were m. Tuesday, Nov 28 1887. William, son of Major Bostick died April 8, 1829. Esther Bostick, late Esther Reed died June 29 1851 in the 65th year of her age.
