Entry for James H. Baldwin's son says the son (Bernard) was born "near New Lyme". New Lyme township is due east of Rome township. That seems to be a good sign that James H. may be the early settler of Rome to whom Moina Large refers. In addition, some PECKS are known to have lived in Rome (and New Lyme).
