James³ Henry².. b. in Woburn, in 1710; he m. May 29, 1739, Ruth Richardson, b. June 17, 1713, dau. Joseph, the gr. s. of Samuel, and settled in Woburn, on the homestead. He d. Jan 28, 1791...
James is said, in Sewell's "History of Woburn," to have been a carpenter, and a reputed master workman in the erection of the precinct Burlington Meeting House, in 1732, still standing in 1867. It will be noticed that James was then young. By his will, dated 1771, he gave his wife one of his negroes.
