    4iii. James Baker was born in VA circa 1729. He married Ruth, Mrs. James Baker.
    In Barnaby McHenry's will 07 December 1749 in Frederick Co., VA, James was named as an heir. He received the land patent 20 July 1762 in Hampshire Co., VA. Barnaby McHenry who was involved with the custody fight for James, William and Samuel Baker wrote his will on 7 Dec 1749 in Frederick Co, VA leaving "James Barker an Orphan Child Living on the premises One grey Mare with her Cold going on 2 years old and Bay Colt of two years old all branded with BxM and the flower de Lure a top also 1 grey Mare running in the forks of Shanendo not branded. James made a deed of "Lease & Release in 1787, with his wife Ruth. Since this is the time his brother Samuel
    and the Hills family left Virginia he was perhaps preparing to leave the area also.
