James Amsley was a private in the 107th Regiment, Company H, Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was wounded on July 1, 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg. He died of his wounds on July 9, 1863 and is buried in the National Cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
