JACK's oldest known ancestor was Anton Kern, a gggg-grandfather of "White Creek". Anton was born before 1770, in Switzerland, and remained there. His son, Jacob Karns, came to America (Tuscarawas County, Ohio) in circa 1836, and is buried in the Urbana Cemetery.
