Beaman and Clark Genealogy : A History of the Descendants of Gamaliel Beaman and Sarah Clark of Dorchester and Lancaster, Mass.,, p. 129. While it seems surprising given the first child was born nearly 30 years earlier, it is consistent with a marriage in 1732 to a wife born in 1713, and the deed in 1728 where he is given land by his father (see father's page for citation).
