    "27 Ithiel Russell, youngest son of the Rev. Samuel and Abigail (Whiting) Russell, was baptized in May, 1705. He lived in North Branford, Connecticut, and was a deacon of the Congregational Church there. He was also lieutenant of the trainband, and for five sessions a member of the General Assembly. … He died March 26, 1772, the church record stating that he was 'found dead in bed.'"
