Mrs. Issippi Smith, 67, passed away at her home in Farmington late Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Hill Church at two o'clock this Friday afternoon. Interment will be at the church cemetery with Cozean service.
She was born in Ste. Genenvieve County on September 1, 1879, the daughter of James & Emily (Counts) Bowling. She was married to Lloyd Churchman Smith on November 9, 1903, who survives her. Surviving also are two sons, Lacey Harold of St. Louis & Walter C. Smith of Farmington; eight grandchildren; four sisters; Mrs. Elizabeth Hamors, Mrs. Anna Smith, Mildred (Mrs. R. P.) Loker and Emma (Mrs. Elliott) Gordon of Farmington, and two brothers, James Bowling of Yount and Walter Bowling of Wayne City, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by five infant daughters; Lulu, Lydia, Lucele and two unnamed.
