Israel Williams (1709–1788) was an American educator and judge who founded Williams College in 1793 by bequest of Ephraim Williams. Williams and John Worthington were the executors of the will.

Israel Williams was half-brother of Elisha Williams.

    "Israel Williams of Hatfield wrote his will 20 March 1783 and a codicil on 19 March 1785; they were proved on 12 February 1788 at a Hampshire County Probate Court held at Springfield. In it he named his sons William and Israel and his daughters Sarah, Eunice, Jerusha, Elizabeth and Lucretia, but neglects to note their married names. He also included Chester Marsh and Henry Marsh, sons of his daughter Sarah; he remitted debts due from Perez Marsh, Esq., but no relationship is identified in the will. In addition, he provided property to be used for the education of [Stalham?] Williams son of his son William Williams.
