In 1860, 1870, 1900 he was a farmer; at time of death he was a laborer. In 1884 & 1900 they were living near their son, Francis. 1894 census states he was epileptic. See Guardianship records.

He appears in Kent County Directories: 1870 Solon, Cedar Springs, pg 295; 1876 Tyrone, Sparta Center; 1882 Kent City; 1884, 1888 Tyrone.

On February 7, 1901, Alvarodo Mapes (his step-son) petitioned the court stating Isaac N. Walker was mentally incompetent due to frequent attacks of epilepsy. His estate was valued at $600 and personal things at $50.

Next of kin were:

Eunice Walker, wife, 65, Kent City; Mary Cool, daughter, 45, Newaygo; Frank Walker, son, 42, White Cloud; George W. Walker, son, 36, Cadillac; Althera Burch, daughter, 40, Kent City.

Mary Cool and Francis Walker objected.

Documents were delivered to Mary Cool, Murray ___ MI, witness Chas. Cool; Frank Walker, White Cloud; Isaac Walker, Eunice Walker & Althera Burch all of Kent City and witnessed by Ray Burch.
