Person:Isaac Preece (2)

Some have suggested that he is the same person as Alexander B Preece, and that his name was changed sometime between the 1860 and 1870 censuses. However, it is also possible that these were 2 different sons, born almost exactly a year apart. Consider:

- Isaac A Preece was born 20 Jul 1859 (Kentucky Birth Records). He shows up on the 1860 census as 10/12 months old.

- Alexander Benjamin Preece's birth date is 10 Jul 1860 on his Social Security file. He shows up on the 1870 census as 11 years old, matching an 1859 birth year. His death record gives his birth date as 15 Jul 1858, with an age (83 years, 7 months and 22 days) to match.

- The Find A Grave entry for his mother lists Alexander and Isaac as 2 separate children. It is not clear whether this comes from potentially flawed research, or from a source such as a family bible, since the person who created the entry uploaded a photo of Tabitha, suggesting he/she is a descendant or otherwise fairly closely related.
