Isaac Magoon came from Ireland with the colony that settled in Palmer Massachusetts in 1727. The farm allotted to him by the legislative commission was at the SW corner of the Reed estate. He left sons Alexander (who also left two sons Isaac & Alexander) and Isaac who married Lucretia, daughter of john Downing, and had 13 children.

Isaac Magoon, Senior received a Hundred acre lot, bounding northerly on the Read Manour, including his house and improvements. Isaac Magoon, Junior likewise received one hundred acres which he had purchased of the claimers. These farm were situated just by the south-east corner of the manour, and were annexed to Ware in 1761 [from the History of Ware]
