    His Will, dated Aug.13, 1828, probated Feb. 1829 in Rhea County (now Meigs) County, TN, left his property to his wife,Elizabeth (Betsy), until son Charles W., or daughters Elizabeth P, Lourinda C., and Malinda N. become of age or marry or leave her. He left property to John C., David, and Sally in addition to what he had already given them. Elizabeth is in the 1830 Rhea County, TN census, age 50-60, with 2 females and 1 male, all young.
    Isaac enlisted in Hall's Company, 10th North Carolina Regiment in 1782 (Source: Card file in the National Archives). Family tradition in Meigs County is that Isaac Lewis served in the Revolutionary War. He signed the 1809 Legislative Petition to the State Legislature.
    Isaac Lewis is buried in the Goodfield Cemetery, Meigs County, TN. A large mound of rocks mark his grave, adjacent to that of I.H. Lewis
