    "71. Isaac (Colton), Cornet4 (George13 and Mary (Hitchcock), Isaac,2 George1), b. 9 Aug., 1720, in Longmeadow; … He first settled in Longmeadow, but about 1755 removed to Brimfield. Returning to Springfield soon, however, he was appointed keeper of the prison which office he held for some time. He parted with his estate, and for many years before his death he led a wandering life. He d. in Longmeadow, 20 Aug., 1800. In the Revolutionary war he served in Capt. Palmer's Co., Col. David Brewer's Regt., enlisting 24 April, 1775 and was discharged 1 Aug., 1775."s Borne August 9th 1720
