Page 42. - ↑ «i»Surname means son of Albert. The stamvaders is (1) Nicolaas Frans Alberts from Hamburg in Germany and (2) Phillipus Alberts from Sarquemins in France. Nicolaas arrived at the Cape of Good Hope in 1738 as a soldier. Worked later as a saddler and married Maria Magdalene Combrink on 7 February 1745. 4 children from the marriage.
Phillipus married Geertruida Susanna Cruywagen on 23 October 1803. Two children from the marriage.«/i»
